Virgin Mary "Weeps" Sceptics Weep for real

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/08/weeping-virgin-mary-image_n_490033.html

“A house in a quiet Paris suburb has received hundreds of visitors desperate for a chance see an icon of the Virgin Mary that is weeping oil, according to reports.”

Isn’t this a case of worshipping false idols? Mary was a Biblical figure but she wasn’t God. He should’ve been more specific on that issue.

There doesn’t appear to be any physical evidence for this “oil”. Why has no one collected a sample to be analyzed? Until the existence of the “oil” is proven and evidence of its healing properties is shown, we have to assume that there is no miracle.
