Students Reject Science, Reason

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/expat/expatnews/7412606/US-creationists-unswayed-by-evolution-exhibition.html

“Each year, a group of biology students at the Christian university based in Lynchburg, Virginia, travels to the Natural History Museum in Washington to learn about a theory they dismiss as incorrect - Darwin's theory of evolution.”

Whatever they are studying at that school it can’t be biology. Otherwise they’d see the evidence for evolution is clear. They reject facts of their own fields of study when it doesn’t correspond to their own worldview.

“In order to be the best creationist, you have to be the best evolutionist you can be," said Marcus Ross, who teaches paleontology and says of Adam and Eve: "I feel they were real people, they were the first people.”

Ross fails to understand that science isn’t about what you feel. It’s about what the evidence shows to be true. “Paleontology is the study of prehistoric life, including organisms, evolution and interactions with each other and their environments.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleontology). Studying and teaching paleontology should show a history much different from the Biblical account.
The creationists prove their foolishness by being troubled with the fact that people view them as ignorant. “The attitude is when you are a creationist you are ignorant of the facts," he said.” It’s because you are ignorant of the facts. Believing that the great Flood wiped out the dinosaurs, believing that it happened at all for that matter, is a display of ignorance that is beyond incredible, no wonder this professor is teaching at a religious school and not a respected institution of science.
