Christian Atheists

http://www.christianpost.com/article/20100302/s-c-pastor-exposes-practical-atheists-among-christians/

Here’s an interesting “fact”, apparently Christians can be atheists too though not in the sense of being atheists towards non-Christian deities

“Practical atheist, or Christian atheist, is defined as someone who believes in God but lives as if He doesn't exist.”

My question to these “Christian atheists” is, why not take it one step further? Clearly they don’t see a need to live everyday by the words of the invisible man living in the sky. I imagine it’s because they find most of the doctrines of Christianity to be rather foolish. The only possible way in which they can believe that they are benefiting from professing belief is that they will be saved. I say that these Christian atheists should learn to live in the here and now. Celebrate what you have and don’t worry about professing a belief in order to comfort fears of death. By making the most of what we have in this life we ensure that our memories are carried on for generations in the people we come in to contact with throughout our time here.
